Residents in Kandy: Discover about Higher Education in Australia

Australia is a developed country in the world. Its economy is very sound with full of untapped resources. Australians are mainly made up of migrants from all parts of the world. At present it has an ageing population due to defects in the migration policy that successive governments adopted and efforts are afoot to rectify this and attract many educated young people with good work experience. Systems are being also developed to put in place facilities for international students in Australia to gain work experience and join the workforce.

Australia needs more migrants. One source to get young educated youth is through those studying in Australia as full fee paying students at tertiary level. Though studies and migration are not firmly linked for students keen to obtain an internationally recognised degree and top it up with work experience in a developed country, this is the best opportunity. Australia is still one of the few countries that encourage skilled migration.

There are 37 universities in Australia. All of them are regularly subjected to various quality and standards audits by authorities to ensure that standards are maintained and course contents are regularly updated. Some of the top universities of these 37 are ranked well internationally too. Thus those who wish to pursue tertiary studies overseas should certainly look at the choices available in Australia if they wish to pursue an overseas career after studies.

Edlocate is a premier university representative in Sri Lanka with over a decade of assisting students to study in Australia. It represents 15 Australian universities, 6 of them in the prestigious G08, located in 5 states and the Australian Capital Territory. It has a functional representative office in Australia to assist students. It is a Streamlined Student Agency appointed by the Australian High Commission to assess and issue pre visa approvals for students which expedites the complex student visa issuing procedure and is a member of Streamline Agents Collective (SAC).

Edlocate's office in Kandy at 752, 3/1 Sirimavo Bandaranaike Mawatha has organised a seminar on Saturday February 12 from 9.30 am to 12.45pm to educate prospective students and parents on all aspects of studying in Australia. The seminar will be addressed by counsellors of Edlocate who will also be at hand to answer any questions you have. Due to limited space available in the conference room only one parent could be accommodated with a student and pre-registration is essential. We invite students and parents in and around Kandy to make use of this wonderful opportunity offered with the compliments of Edlocate. Please call 081 2386777 for registration.
