Aiming to promote and create public awareness on a healthy lifestyle, The Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA), the apex body of the medical profession in Sri Lanka and the oldest medical association in Asia and Australia, will mark its 127th Anniversary Medical Congress with a National Health Run and Walk on July 13 at the BMICH.

Open to participants of any age, the event will focus on the two main activities of the day – the run and walk – as recreational activities rather than competitive sports. The event will also conduct free health checks including blood pressure, blood sugar, vision and Body Mass Index (BMI), offer physiotherapy / sports massages and hold Yoga demonstrations by Physiotherapists from the Faculty of Medicine, Colombo. Participants will also have access to healthy food and beverages, exciting gift packs and branded event merchandise.
For free registrations please contact Heshanie on 0113 100 845, 076 5400 902 or on slmarun2014@gmail.com before July 10.
