Rajiva and Jerad for Asian Masters
View(s):Rajiva Wijetunga of MAS Intimates and Jerad Fernando of Central Bank have qualified to represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Masters Athletic meet to be held in Japan on September 14.
These two veteran athletes won five (5) Gold medals together at the recently concluded 28th Sri Lanka Masters Athletics meet held at the Sugathadasa Stadium which was conducted by the Sri Lanka Masters Athletic Association.
Rajiva Wijetunga proved his class by winning two (2) Gold medals in the men’s over 55 Shot Putt and Discus Throw events while banker Jerad Fernando stole the limelight by winning three (3) Gold Medals in the men’s over 50 Putt Shot, Discus and Hammer Throw events.
