The Under 17 netball team of Stamford High School, England, who are on a tour of Sri Lanka, hit it really big when they completed a hat-trick of wins at Sigiriya.

Action in the Stamford High School-Thalakiriyagama Central College fixture.

In their first match against Thalakiriyagama Central College, the tourists had to dig deep into their netball resources before posting a close 7-6 win.

Immy Bromich of Stamford was adjudged the Best Player of the Game.

In their second match, the Stamford girls were again on song when they posted an easy 12-01 win over Sigiriya Central College, with Torri Worrall winning the Player of the Match award.

They then went onto to complete a hat-trick when they sent Dambulla Central College tumbling to a 16-05 win.

Once again it was a Stamford lass who won the Best Player award – Honor Munro-Hall.
