group followed by Ratnam, who remains at No.2 after pulling off a thrilling 3-2 win against Matara City. As a result of Navy SC’s game against Saunders being put off to a later date they remain at the third slot. Despite losing to Ratnam, Matara City advanced four slots to fourth but Colombo FC moved down a slot to fifth after their match against Java Lane was not played. Java Lane lost one place and moved down to number six along with Saunders and Negombo Youth who are at seventh and eighth respectively. Air Force and Super Sun were slotted to play their match last week but since the match did not materialise they remain respectively at ninth and tenth in the group.

Solid SC recorded a thrilling 1-0 win against Don Bosco to hold on to their leadership from Group B as they become one of the teams to complete all six scheduled matches. In one of the massive shocks of the competition, the Upcountry Lions thrashed Nandimithra 5-1 to move up two spots to second in the group while Army, after not playing their match against Kalutara Park, was pushed down a slot to third. At fourth is Don Bosco who suffered their second loss, in a massive way, to the table leader. Renown pulled off a stunning 3-2 win against Police SC to move two places up to fifth while Nandimithra, after being bashed by Upcountry Lions, moved down a place to number six. Police moved down a place to seventh as New Youngs, Pelicans and Kalutara Park who could not complete their fixtures last week, remain eighth, ninth and tenth in the table. – NA
