A night for Nalanda’s bright sports stars

The annual Colours Night of Nalanda College Colombo was held last week at the Waters’ Edge in Battaramula with Bhanuka Wijesundera being awarded the title for the Most Outstanding Sportsman for the year 2012. Dilanka Shehan won the award for the Most Outstanding Sportsman in the junior category for the same year as P.K.U.M. Jayasundera was adjudged the Best Player at International Tournaments for the year 2012. A total of 132 students were awarded with College Colours for their outstanding achievements in the sports field while 258 students received Merit Awards in the night. Speaker of the Parliament, Chamal Rajapaksa graced the occasion as the chief guest. – NA
