In the multi-cultural, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi racial mix of the students in the educational system at Wycherley, it is the inherent duty of the school to instil religious values in the hearts and minds of the students. The Vesak Bakthi Gee of the Elementary Section took place on 31st May 2013 at the Junior School Auditorium at 6 pm.

The Birth, death and enlightenment of Lord Buddha, who always preached love, humility, respect to elders and kindness, are basic tenets of life. The students have to be brought into this way of life into a society that they will build in about two decades from now.

The entire ambience was filled with Vesak Lanterns in multi coloured hues, along with a pure white enormous lantern at the entrance. All items were presented by every class and they were well co-ordinated by the teachers of the Elementary Section. It was a memorable evening for everybody who was present at the occasion.
