The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka ( IMSL) jointly with the Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) regularly arranges public lectures on contemporary and timely management topics, together with
IMSL will conduct its next public lecture in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) on Thursday, 20th June 2013, at the Sri Lanka Foundation, 100, Independence Square, Colombo 7, from 5.30 pm onwards.

IMSL’s Public Lecture Series is a part of their Education and Knowledge Development programme, aimed at sharing and developing knowledge and best practices in management issues of contemporary and timely interest.

The lecture on the 20th will be on the theme “Management and the Environment” and will be presented by Prof. Hemanthi Ranasinghe, of the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science of the University of Sri Jayawardanapura
Prof. Ranasinghe has a doctorate from Wales and is particularly specialized in the areas of Biodiversity, Silviculture, Agro Forestry and Social Forestry
Her lecture will provide an analysis of how the management practices adopted by Sri Lankan managers affects the environment and what steps should be followed by all Sri Lankans to protect the environment and minimize the natural calamities that we as a country has had to face.

The Management Club of Kalutara joins IMSL and SLF in organizing this Public Lecture for which registration is FREE and will be on a first come first served basis.
