Applications have been invited from children of estate workers resident on estates, for award of scholarships by the Ceylon Estate Workers Education Trust (CEWET).

These scholarships are available for GCE Advanced Level (AL), undergraduate courses and for students undergoing vocational /technical education in any of the Government Technical Colleges in Sri Lanka.

Students who have passed GCE Ordinary or Advanced Level with either Mathematics or Arithmetic at the GCE Ordinary Level (OL) and below 25 years of age, are eligible to apply.

The completed application forms must be accompanied by photocopies of birth certificate, result sheet of GCE OL or AL, last salary slip of parents and Estate Superintendent’s certificate regarding parents occupation.

Application forms are available at the High Commission of India, 36-38, Galle Road, Colombo 3 and the Assistant High Commissioner of India, 31, Rajaphilla Mawatha, Kandy.

Duly completed forms should reach the Honorary Secretary, CEWET, c/o High Commission of India, P.O. Box 882, Colombo, on or before June 30, 2013.
