Horizon Campus to hold scholarship exam for university of London Degree Programmes
View(s):Horizon City Campus will hold a scholarship examination for students who wished to read for a LL.B. or Bsc. degree from the University of London, for the academic year 2013/14 (Within the axis of UoL International Programmes). Students will be offered scholarships on the local tuition fees due to Horizon City Campus. Scholarships will be offered to students who perform well at the exam and has obtained acceptable G.C.E. Advanced Level results. Students who have recently sat the London A/L exams are also welcome to sit the scholarship exam.
A similar examination was held last March, with over 20 students accepting the award of scholarships after having successfully sat the exam and obtaining excellent results. The response to the scholarship offer was very encouraging, with many students who were keen to study for this prestigious degree at Horizon City Campus, sitting & performing well at the examination. This included students from local as well as international schools, professionals and those who had sufficient O/L qualifications and wished to study for a Bsc. degree through the Access Route.
Speaking on the upcoming scholarship exam, the CEO of Horizon College of Business & Technology, Mr.Upul Daranagama, while welcoming the students to study for their degree of choice, gave the assurance that Horizon is committed to providing a holistic environment for the students, within the city of Colombo.Mr.Daranagama, very specially emphasized the rational behind the offering of scholarships, which was to provide more opportunities for students who would find finance as a barrier to higher education. While acknowledging the intensity of the degree programme, he was to note that no other institution other than Horizon Campus was to offer the campus environment, convenience and affordability, while delivering lectures for a recognised degree from the University of London, under one roof.
Horizon City campus has taken the responsibility to prepare students for seven degrees offered by the world renowned University of London, within the axis of the International Programmes.
