The CEO of British Airways, Keith Williams and Mrs. Williams and other officials of the Airline together with a group of eminent media personalities from Britain, who were visiting Sri Lanka aboard the inaugural British Airways flight were welcomed at the Mahaweli Reach Hotel, during their overnight stay in the hill capital recently.

Caparisoned elephants and traditional dancers provided a warm traditional welcome while in the evening the group was hosted to cocktails and dinner by Jayantha Panabokke, Managing Director and the team at Mahaweli Reach.

The host provids everyone with golden memories of a historic occasion which it is hoped marks a revitalisation of interest in Sri Lanka as a destination among British visitors who are one of the principal markets for the tourism industry in the country.
