The doyen of music presenters, Tom Hart has departed from Gold FM, popular restro music station. For a man, who’s husky Elvis like voice and rugged good looks endeared him to Gold FM fans.

Tom won a huge following of global fans.’ Fans, Tom resonates  gently, are my true family.’ Tom has the magic of making a mundane song a magical one,. which is matched by his versatility in knowing the arithmetic’s of meaningful Music and almost all the stories behind those song’s Tom Hart started his career at (YES FM) as the host of ‘Lunch Express’.

Then he was chosen to host a show on MTV which was called ‘jukebox’ which was also co hosted by Kamani. The show was chock full of Classic videos of the master’s of music such as Shirlry Bassey, Dean Martin, John Lennon, Elvis, Jim Reeves, Demis Rousous, Sherbert, Kate Bush etc. While all this was going on Tom co hosted a show with sameera on Sirasa TV called ‘Looks Like’ which dealt with the looks and dislikes of youngsters.

The fact that sets Tom apart from other DJ’s or radio presenters is his ability to literally touch the heart of a listener. Incidentally, Tom is one of the few DJ’s in Sri Lanka that mix live on radio and has got his own following of fellow retro DJ’s who always listen when he is on the mix.

This includes DJ Jith, who is a top notch DJ in Australia and one of the most sought after Disc jockeys in the club circuit, DJ Bede Beckmeyer of Canada, a spin wizard when it comes to solid gold tunes, DJ Shawn Groove of Washington DC who is another high end DJ spinning in the best discotheques in around Washington DC.
