“Open Day’at raffles institute of Higher education Colombo
The premium education provider in the Asia Pacific will organize an Open Day on Saturday 24th of November 2012 at 9.00a.m. Guests can interact with the team of highly experienced international presenters, consultants and experience the state of the art facilities. Students can take the opportunity to discover the design course that is suited to their needs.
At the Open House in August 2012, visitors, including school leavers and international students, enjoyed a day that was packed with exciting activities and demonstrations. This November, visitors can participate in fashion design, multimedia and interior design workshops conducted by international presenters, including USA – born, Mr. Nathan Ober(Multimedia and Visual Communication), Romanian – born ,Ms. Andreea Lonhardt,(Fashion Design) and local- born international designer, Mr.Dinesh Chandrasena.
Elements of typography, fashion, jewellery, interior, fashion marketing & merchandising, photography, multimedia and graphic design will be displayed at the Raffles gallery this Open House in an exhibition titled, “Imagine”. The work reflects examples of design, where students have pushed boundaries in their creative fields, to express innovation and professionalism at all levels. “Imagine” encompasses a range of work covering the overall design process – from the use of recycled materials for jewellery, to producing scaled models for furniture.
Raffles Institute of Higher Education Colombo offers six distinctive two-year Advanced Diploma programmes in Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing & Management, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design and Jewellery Design. Students can complete the Advanced Diploma in Sri Lanka and register for the final year of the Bachelor Design Degree in a Raffles college overseas via the 2 +1 option.
