TANTALIZE, the Biggest Inter-University Talent Show organized by the Student Activity Club (SAC) of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) was recently held for the 5th consecutive year to harness more talent hidden within the students in the higher education sector in Sri Lanka. TANTALIZE which has become the most looked forward event by the students in the higher education sector in Sri Lanka showcased some of the amazing talents of performing arts by university students at TANTALIZE 2012 on 4th November 2012 at Museaus College Auditorium.
20 finalists in 6 categories selected through initial auditions among nearly 180 students from 25 higher education institutions, displayed their best performance in a bid to win the title at the Grand Finale. At the end of the power packed performances by the finalists, the best of the talents at TANTALIZE 2012 were crowned winners in each category, as judged by the panel of judges comprising leading names in the relevant industries. Most popular artists chosen through public voting were also presented with special awards.
Sri Lanka’s No.1 Pop and Rap duo Bathiya and Santhush along with Randhir also made a spectacular guest performance in support of the charity cause funded by TANTALIZE 2012. Each year all proceeds of the TANTALIZE are donated for a worthy cause. This year too, the proceeds will be donated to Colombo North Teaching Hospital.
TANTALIZE 2012 themed “Let the Talent Take Control” is undoubtedly the biggest show ever in the history of TANTALIZE.
