"Science Related Fields of Studies to Meet the Challenges of Future " by Dr. T Somasekhar Professor in Biotechnology , Neurobiology University of Bangalore , Dean Indian Academy and Centre for post Graduates studies . It was organised by Mr. G.A..W.G.Galgamuwa , Director General , Global Environmental Youth Education Foundation in Collaboration with Sri Lanka India Cultural Association of the Central Province ( KALNA- SLICA).

Assistant High Commissioner in Kandy Mr. .R.K Misra , Attache Mr . Sanjeev Jain , Former Deputy Minister of Justices Mr. Shelton Ranaraja , Mr. Dunkan Nugawela President (KALYANA - SLIKA ) and Mr. Tissa Weerasingha Vice President (KALYANA SLIKA) graced the occasion. It was an interesting informative lecture for A/L Science Students , Undergraduates Parents and other participants. .This was held at the Queens hotel in Kandy on April 4, 2009.
