Celebrating All-Island Oriental Music Excellence in Lyceum Kurunegala

Recently, Siyoth secured 1st Place in Solo Singing (Junior Category) at the prestigious All-Island Oriental Music Competition 2025, marking a remarkable milestone in his musical journey.
Siyoth’s passion for music has been evident since childhood. Not only is he an exceptional singer, but he is also skilled in playing musical instruments, demonstrating a rare combination of talent, dedication, and artistry. His performance at the competition captivated both judges and the audience alike, reflecting countless hours of practice and a deep love for the art.
This outstanding accomplishment would not have been possible without the guidance of his dedicated teachers and mentors at Lyceum International School Kurunegala, whose support has nurtured his musical growth. The entire Lyceum community has also played a vital role in providing encouragement and a platform for Siyoth to explore and develop his talents.
The performance was further enhanced by a talented orchestra comprising Risandi Adikari (Grade 7), Hesanya Abeysinghe (Grade 7), Chandinu Amarasinghe (Grade 8), Dew Mahima Pathirana (Grade 8), Shemil Rose (Grade 9), Helith Lankathilaka (Grade 9), and Binuthi Basnayake (Grade 10). Together, they created a harmonious and memorable presentation, celebrating Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage and the magic of oriental music.
