The British School in Colombo (BSC) continues to demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship through its ongoing beach clean-up initiative.

Held at Dehiwala Beach, this event marked the third clean-up of the academic year and was organised by BSC’s Eco Warriors as part of their work toward the internationally recognised Green Flag Award.

94 students, parents and staff participated in the event

At the most recent clean-up, 94 students, parents and staff came together in a strong display of community collaboration.

“This was another excellent Beach Clean-Up, with students, parents and staff working together to care for our shared environment,” Thomas Greenwood, Head of the Senior School, said.

As Sri Lanka continues to address coastal pollution, the BSC Beach Clean-Up initiative serves as a clear example of how sustained community action can make a difference.
