Shenyang City University and Pera Uni PGIHS sign agreement
View(s):The Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (PGIHS) of the University of Peradeniya has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Shenyang City University as a step in strengthening global academic partnerships and expanding opportunities for cross-border education.
The initiative is expected to facilitate increased enrollment of postgraduate students from China into PGIHS programmes.
A delegation from Shenyang City University attended the signing ceremony, underscoring the importance of this partnership and a shared commitment to advancing higher education.
The delegation included Vice President Gu Shuo, Secretary-General of the University Board Xu Jiahui, and Dean of the International Education College Lu Dan.
They were joined by Wang Jia (Janet Wang), Overseas Strategic Advisor of the Sri Lanka-China Social and Cultural Cooperation Association and General Manager of JJL Australia & New Zealand Overseas Branch, and Gu Yu (Amanda Gu), Academic Director of the Association’s China Office and JJL Colombo Office.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya, Professor W M T Madhujith was also present.
This partnership reflects PGIHS’s commitment to fostering global academic engagement, promoting cultural exchange, and enhancing research collaboration, the university said.
