NSBM Green University Welcomes the 2026 Newest Intake with Grandeur

Sri Lanka’s premier degree-awarding institute, ceremoniously welcomed its newest undergraduate intake for 2026 with an inspiring inauguration ceremony held on 23rd February at its iconic green campus.
This special interim intake marked another significant milestone in NSBM’s journey, as new students embarked on their higher education pathways across a wide spectrum of undergraduate and foundation programmes offered by the Faculties of Business, Computing, Engineering, and Science.
The inauguration featured three dedicated sessions comprising keynote addresses, informative presentations, and comprehensive orientation programmes designed to familiarize new entrants with the academic framework and operational aspects of university life.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished keynote speakers: Prof. Kapila Perera,Secretary – Ministry of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development; Prof. Darshana Sedera, Executive Dean – Faculty of Business, Law and Arts at Southern CrossUniversity, Australia; and Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary – Ministry of Health and Mass Media. The keynote speakers shared words of wisdom and inspiration, encouraging students to embrace academic excellence, leadership, and innovation throughout their university journey.
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM, along with the university’s top management, faculty members, parents, and students—creating a truly celebratory beginning to a new academic chapter.
New students were warmly congratulated for choosing NSBM, a globally recognised institution committed to nurturing academic excellence and holistic student development. They were encouraged to make full use of the university’s modern infrastructure, world-class facilities, and internationally benchmarked learning environment.
This new intake opens doors to over 50 degree programmes, including NSBM’s own degree offerings and internationally recognised foreign degree qualifications delivered in partnership with top-ranked global universities, alongside four foundation programmes. With a highly qualified academic panel and an industry-aligned curriculum, NSBM continues to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world.
To date, NSBM Green University has produced over 23,000 graduates and currently hosts more than 13,000 undergraduates, reaffirming its position as Sri Lanka’s most sought-after higher education destination—guided by a national mission and driven by a global vision.
