The New Zealand Education Fairs will be held on Saturday the 7th March from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo and Sunday the 8th March from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm at the Queens Hotel, Kandy. With the participation of over 20 institutions this is the biggest New Zealand education fair and you are cordially invited to attend this event. You will be able to discuss and clarify all your queries including the best possible study options and life experiences in New Zealand.

The fairs are supported by Education New Zealand and you will have the opportunity to discuss your New Zealand journey with senior officials of Education New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand.

The event in Colombo will be graced by the High Commissioner of New Zealand for Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mr David Pine who is the Chief Guest. Her Excellency Ms Gabrielle Isaak, Deputy High Commissioner of New Zealand will be the Chief Guest at the event in Kandy.

Participating institutions are:

  •   Auckland University of Technology - AUT is New Zealand’s third largest university in terms of total student enrolment, with approximately 29,100 students enrolled across three campuses in Auckland. The University offers more than 140 innovative programmes, with more than 25 at undergraduate level.
  •   The University of Canterbury – The University of Canterbury is a globally recognised university with a 5-Star QS ranking for internationally renowned teaching and research. The 2nd oldest university is ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide.
  •   Lincoln University – New Zealand’s specialist land-based university. Unique programmes such as Applied Sciences (in disciplines Food Science, Agriculture, Sustainable Development and Biosphere Conservation), Landscape Architecture are offered at Lincoln.
  •   Massey University – QS top 300 universities in the world, QS 5+ star rating; Massey is the only university in New Zealand offering degrees in aviation, dispute resolution, veterinary medicine, and nanoscience. With three campuses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, it has a well-established reputation for academic leadership.

Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is in the top 1% of the world’s more than 18,000 universities for 15 subjects and in the top 2% for 28 subjects in the latest QS World University Rankings.
  •   The University of Waikato – The University of Waikato, established in 1964, is a public research university located in Hamilton, New Zealand. An additional campus is located in Tauranga. The University of Waikato Management School holds a prestigious «triple crown» accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS), placing it in the top 1% of business schools globally.
  •   Ara Institute of Canterbury - Ara Institute of Canterbury, often simply referred to as Ara, is an institute of technology in Canterbury, New Zealand. It was formed in 2016 from the merger of Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and Aoraki Polytechnic. Ara specialises in applied tertiary training.
  •   Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) – one of New Zealand’s top-rated institutes and offers programmes in Health and Sport Science, Tourism and Hospitality at both undergraduate and graduate level.
  •   Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) - Manukau Institute of Technology has been transforming lives through education for more than fifty years as one of the largest providers of technical, vocational and professional training in New Zealand. MIT has campuses located in Otara, Warkworth, Auckland CBD along with TechPark and MIT Manukau in Manukau City Centre.
  •  Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) – with campuses in Nelson and Marlborough NMIT is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority Category 1 institute delivering programmes that are industry recognised to meet local and international job market needs.
  •   Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) – Based in the South Island, SIT is one of New Zealand’s largest institutes of technology and offers over 200 programmes ranging from music production, hospitality, nursing and business.
  •   Unitec Institute of Technology – Unitec is the largest institute of technology in Auckland, New Zealand. 16,844 students study programmes from certificate to postgraduate degree level across a range of subjects.
