Volunteers clean muddy classrooms

Flooding and landslides have caused widespread devastation including damage to schools. Volunteers and parents have come forward to clear schools so that they would be ready to reopen on December 16. Here the Roman Catholic college in Hanwella being cleared in preparation for the opening.

UNICEF has appealed for support for emergency education kits for children displaced by landslides and floods.
