With the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination set to begin tomorrow, education and health authorities conducted final preparations to ensure a safe and conducive environment for candidates across the island. In addition to routine cleaning and maintenance work at examination centres, special dengue eradication programmes were carried out. Fogging operations were stepped up around schools and examination halls, particularly in high-risk districts where mosquito-borne infections have seen a recent rise.
