View(s):The Wayamba University Research Congress (WURC) 2025 will be held on November 7.
The congress provides a platform for academics, administrative staff, and postgraduate students to share the findings of their research projects.
The primary objective of WURC 2025 is to provide a knowledge-sharing platform, enabling participants to present and discuss the outcomes of their research projects, the university said.
“This inclusive event brings together researchers from various disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and showcasing the university’s commitment to excellence in research,” the university added.
The theme of the Research Congress is “Bridging Research, Innovation and sustainability: Green Solutions for a Circular Economy”.
The event is the 10th Wayamba University Research Congress and has been organised by the Senate Research & Higher Degrees Committee (SRHDC) of the university.
During WURC 2025, the research findings will be presented in several parallel technical sessions, covering a diverse range of topics.
Among the topics will be agriculture & plantation management, applied sciences, business studies & finance, livestock, fisheries and nutrition, medicine and technology.
In addition, the congress will host the annual Wayamba University Research Award (WURA) ceremony in order to recognise the scientific contributions made by the university’s staff.
