Universities of Peradeniya and Illinois Chicago hold AI workshop
View(s):The Department of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya, in collaboration with the Department of Medical Education, College of Medicine, University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), USA, conducted a three-day workshop on “Scholarship, Innovation and Integration of AI for Educational Research” last week.
The workshop focused on integrating artificial intelligence into educational research, developing scholarly approaches to medical education, and fostering research collaborations between the two universities.
This event was the second workshop in a continuing series under the UIC-UoP partnership, aimed at enhancing capacity building in health professions education and promoting collaborative educational research.
The sessions were conducted by Prof Yoon Soo Park, PhD – Ilene Harris Professor and Head of the Department Medical Education, Prof Ara Tekian, PhD, MHPE – Professor and Associate Dean for International Affairs , Prof Lauren Maggio, PhD – Professor and Director of Research and Dr Brian Gin, MD, PhD – Associate Professor of Medical Education and Paediatrics.
