“Encore 2012”, – A huge success
View(s):The students of the Performing Arts Club of ANC Education, headed by Hasaru Weerasinghe, organized a talent show, “Encore 2012”, which was inspired by “Encore: The Battle Begins 2011”. The event was held at the British School Auditorium on October 20th. The goal behind this event was to provide a platform for all the gifted musicians and singers at ANC along with guest performers to exhibit their talents. Some of the students who performed were Savindri Perera, Gyles Dharmarathne, Migara Amarasinghe, Chalitha Weerakkody, Chathura Wickramage and Krishan Devasagayam. Singer Shane Von Vincent, the dance group Bro’ Botz, and the band Battery, also guest performed at the event. The show was a huge success and the crowd called for encore performances! All proceeds from the show will go towards a charity project in December by the Performing Arts Club of ANC.
