The Islamic Students' Majlis of Wesley College will be organizing their 44th Islamic Day celebration scheduled to be held on February 17 from 2.30 p.m. onwards at the Eco Auditorium, BMICH.
The Islamic Day celebration at Wesley is unique in many ways.

This occasion transcends all barriers of race, religion and ethnicity to build strength through brotherhood among all communities which is channeled in pursuit of one common goal. Islamic Day at Wesley has always been an event highly anticipated by many students from various schools as well as the society at large, due to the innovative ideas and interesting nature evident from a past which portrays the true talent of Wesleyites.

The Majlis commemorates its 50th anniversary this year in grand style. Since its establishment in 1961 it has organized many activities such as orphanage projects, Ifthar programmes, seminars for O/L students etc which has benefited the society and students in a big way. The Majlis organized its Quiz competition which was held on February 3 from 2.30 p.m. onwards at the college premises which was a huge success with the participation of over 20 leading schools in the island. The participants highly appreciated and made great comments on the Quiz competition.

This year the Majlis will be performing a charity project along with the MWRAF Women's centre to assist the refugees in Kalmunai which places a remarkable milestone in the history of the Majlis. This charity will definitely help the needy and bring merits to our souls from the Almighty as charity is one of the most preferred activities of religion.

The president, Riffeth Rauff together with Secretary Abdullah Mohideen and Vice presidents Sahadh Razick and Akeel Abdul Majeed along with the editors and the rest of the committee are working hard to make this Day a dazzling success. Let the Almighty shower his blessings on the Islamic Students' Majlis of Wesley College to make this event a remarkable one.
