Panora sponsors ICT development in education
 

Local computer brand Panora recently came forward as the main sponsor for a workshop for teachers organized by Sri Lankan Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) Section E1.

The workshop was held in collaboration with the University of Colombo, School of Computing (UCSC) as an awareness building program of the IT syllabus for G.C.E O/L teachers in the Colombo District, the computer firm said.

The one day workshop was designed; coordinated and conducted by The University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) at which 68 teachers in Colombo had the opportunity to go through an interactive session with experienced facilitators Noel Fernando, Varuna Premachandra, Ruwan Abeysekara and Chaminda Priyashantha. The workshop comprised three categories: information for designing; programming and logic in the IT syllabus.
