Sanchi House overall champs at Gothami BV Sports Meet 2020

Sanchi House emerged overall champions at the annual Inter-House Sports Meet 2020 of Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo, which was held on January 24 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
Sanchi House accumulated 332.5 points and stood firmly ahead of Saranath House, who followed in as runners-up with 309.5 points. Ajantha House finished as overall third with 240.5 points while Thakshila House had to be contended with the fourth position.
K.G. Sudewni Senesa had the honour of winning the Best Athlete award for her prolific performance, which helped her house win the top title.
The annual sports meet was organised and conducted by the Gothami Balika staff and students, under the guidance and support of the Principal D.W. Subhashini Dematagoda, Prefect of Games K. Harsha Perera, Sports Teachers-in-Charge Punya Gunathilake, Theja Jayawicrkama and Achintha Nirmani and Sports Head Coach Iresha Lakmali.
It was well attended by all students, parents, teachers, staff members and well wishers as Olympic Silver medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
