Police, Navy, Galle record wins
Chalana De Silva took a match bag of nine wickets while Azhar Attari picked up a five wicket haul as Police SC registered comfortable seven wicket win over Sebastianites CA in their Premier Tier B match at Katunayake yesterday.
The third day’s proceedings saw Sebastianites CA resuming from their overnight score of 183 for 6 in the second innings being bowled out for 211 runs. Police SC chasing 100 runs raced to victory with seven wicket in hand thanks to an unbeaten half century from Minhaj Jaleel.
Meanwhile Navy SC and Galle CC coasted to outright wins with a day to spare against Kandy Customs CC and Air Force SC in the matches played at Welisara and Katunayake respectively.
