Daffodil House champs at Sussex Kiribathgoda Sports Meet

Daffodil House clinched the overall championship of the annual Inter-House Sports Meet of the Sussex College, Kiribathgoda held at the Sugathadasa Stadium. Thejaka Abeysinghe of Daisy House won the overall boys championship of the Under-18 age category while Kushani Perera of Daisy House and Tharinsa Thenuwara of Daffodil House bagged the joint championship of the girls Under-18 age category.
Abeysinghe won the triple gold medals in the 200m, 400m and 800m finals and accumulated 30 points to win the Under-18 boys championship. The joint winner of the girls Under-18, Jithwari Tharinsa of Daffodil House won both 400m and 800m gold medals and also the javelin throw gold medal.
Kushani Perera of Daisy House won both 100m and 200m finals with long jump gold medal and honoured as the joint champion of the Girls Under-18 category.
