SLC honours Nuski Mohamed with Lifetime Achievement Award

Nuski Mohamed received the SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to cricket at the recently concluded Sri Lanka Cricket Awards Ceremony 2019 at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
Mohamed, a Chartered Accountant by profession, is a proud product of Richmond College, Galle. He played club cricket for the SSC and the Saracens Sports Club. He currently holds office as the president of Saracens SC. He made a significant contribution to the administration of the game both as secretary and treasurer of SLC for long periods, and served the board with distinction during the presidency of the late Hon. Gamini Dissanayaka following the elevation of Sri Lanka to Full Member status by the ICC.
Nuski was a delegate at the Inaugural Meeting of the Asian Cricket Council in 1983 and has functioned as the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, and a Executive Board Member of the ACC.
Nuski represented Sri Lanka Cricket as the delegate at the Annual Meetings of the ICC for several years and was Alternate Director of the ICC Board in 2018. In his capacity as Secretary of the board, he served as a member of the ICC sub committee set up for the World Cup in 1988.
In recognition of his services to cricket, Nuski Mohamed was elected as a Hony. Life Member of MCC (Lords’) UK in 1998.
Besides, he contributed to the game in numerous capacities being the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Foundation set up by the late Gamini Dissanayake and the President of the Colombo District Cricket Association for several years.
