Amidst the heat and rush of a student’s academic life, few opportunities arise for them to display their pure talent and inborn flair. For the students of Institute of Chemistry, College of Chemical Sciences, their talents emerged in a show of splendor and brilliance, as Aura-X for their 10th consecutive year held on the 29th of July, 2019 at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall.

The event that was organized by the Students’ Association of CCS did not fail to awe the audience through the showcase of various talents by the students which included electrifying dance performances, jaw-dropping musical ensembles and a light-hearted skit. In addition, many undergraduates were involved in a creative drama of Sherlock Holmes which was the heart of the glamorous evening.

The guest performance was by Piyath Rajapakse, who mesmerized the audience with his striking voice and songs that wonderfully blended with it. The musical backbone to the evening was none other than a very own product of CCS; 8.1, who captured the hearts of everyone at the institute, since its inception.

Professor Priyani Paranagama, the president of Ichem, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and many lecturers were present to motivate the students performing in front of a house full of an enthusiastic audience. The spectators was fixated to their seats till the entire show
