MoE to increase efficiency of Teacher Trainers
View(s):The Ministry of Education (MoE) has taken steps to increase the efficiency of Teacher Trainers (TT) in the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS), to facilitate their promotions.
To this effect a batch of TTs in TT institutes will follow programmes in Capacity Building, to enable them get their long delayed promotions.
It is learned that examinations for Capacity Building of TTs have not been held for several years, leading to stagnation of Class III TTs in TT Colleges and in the National College of Education.
The MoE said the first batch of TTs have successfully completed their course recently.
