Only Govt. presses to print school text books- Cabinet

Cabinet approved the proposal submitted by Mass Media Minister, Gayantha Karunathilake to hand over the printing of school text books to government printing bodies only.

Accordingly, printing of school text books in 2015 will be given to the State Printing Corporation, Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd and the Dept of Govt. Printing.

The Govt. Information Dept said these institutions were entrusted with the printing of school text books due to their printing capacity and their performance in previous years.
