Trinity Under 12 Milo All-Island Champions
View(s):The Trinity College Kandy Cubs at Under-12 level became the All-Island champions at the recently concluded rugby tournament which worked off at Thurstan and Royal Grounds in Colombo.
The Trinity Under-12 outfit led by Mishraka Wickremasekera and his deputy Lithmal Moragoda remained unbeaten in the tournament starting from the group stage onwards.
They beat Nalanda (48-0), St. Anthony’s Katugastota (55-0), Ananda (42-0), Mahanama (38-0), S. Thomas’ Mount Lavinia (38-0) and St. Peter’s (12-0) on their way to glory.
The outfit was coached by Mohamed Faizal with Randika Alwis, Ishanka Abeykoon and Lochana Girihagama assisting him. The teacher-in-charge was Mrs. Chandani.
The Trinity Under-13 team emerged runners-up to S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia after putting up a great performance.
