Centre forward Mohamed Azardeen was in superb form to fire a hat-trick for Colombo Dockyard when they defeated NDB Bank 5-0 in a Mercantile Football Association ‘C’ soccer fixture at the CR and FC grounds. At the short whistle the tally was 3-0 in favour of the winners.
In the fifth minute of the game, right extreme G.A.K. Dushantha got Colombo Dockyard moving when he found the back of the NDB Bank net and in the 18th minute mid field A.P. Priyantha made it 2-0.

From there it was centre forward Azardeen. In the 25th minute he got his boot onto the ball to fire his first goal to make it 3-0 for Colombo Dockyard.

After the change of ends, it was again Azardeen who scored his second goal of the game to make the score 4-0 and in the 45th minute he completed his hat trick to give Colombo Dockyard a comfortable 5-0 win.

The game was refereed by D.D.I. Sandanayake, while K.A. Gunasena was the co-ordinator and match commissioner was Anton Atapattu.
Commercial Bank post 1-0 win over Seylan

Commercial Bank posted a 1-0 win over Seylan Bank in their MFA conducted Division ‘C’ soccer fixture at the CR and FC ground. At the break neither side had crossed the other’s line.

It was only in the 45th minute of the game that the deadlock was broken when centre forward Amila Fernando of Commercial Bank scored the solitary goal of the game to give his team a 1-0 win.

The game was controlled by K.G.S. Chathuranga while the co-ordinator was A.G. Mendis and match commissioner was Anton Atapattu.
Seylan Bank down NDB Bank 4-1

Seylan Bank downed NDB Bank by four goal to one in their MFA conducted ‘C’ division soccer fixture at the CR and FC ground. At half time the tally was 2-1 in favour of Seylan Bank.

NDB Bank drew first blood when centre forward Vinoj Pathirana put his side one up. However, from there Seylan Bank took over the game, when mid field Jiffry Irshad equalized and 11 minutes later he booted his second goal to put Seylan Bank into the lead.After the change of ends centre forward Prabath Maldunearachchi got is act working to make the tally 4-1 for Seylan Bank and in the 50th minute right extreme broke through the NDB Bank defence to give Seylan Bank a 4-1 win.

The officials for the game were, W,M.S. Jayalath referee, K.A.G. Gunasena co-ordinator and Anton Atapattu match commissioner.
