‘Same day delivery’ from happiness.lk
View(s):Locally-based website Happiness.lk recently started offering same day delivery for orders in Colombo and its suburbs however only if the order is placed before 1 p.m., a service it claims is first of its kind in Sri Lanka, according to a statement.
Further, the statement also noted that there were more than 5,000 products available at the website, offering “everything from baby products such as feeding, weaning, nursery, diaper to toys of all ranges”. And these products included leading international brands such as Farlin, Kids Joy, LEGO, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher-Price, Phillips Avent and Johnson and Johnson, amongst others.
“What differentiates us is that we actually have a real ground based operation running unlike others who purchase from different vendors as and when online purchases are made. Such practices will end up of delayed delivery and price variables at the end of the day. Happiness.lk is subsidiary of Kiddies and Toys (Pvt) Ltd, which has been in the baby, mother care and toys business for over 20 years in Sri Lanka. We carry the exclusive distributorship for some of the best brands in the world and we have a 12,000 square foot warehouse backing the products that we do sell through our site,” commented Asvine Ganeshan, the website’s Head of Digital Marketing and Operations. He also added that the website had its “own fleet of vehicles and delivery personnel to get your orders to the doorstep dedicated to web sales apart from KTI’s large scale operations on daily basis. Basically, now you don’t have to go on looking for diapers or worry about the parking, simply order and it will be there before the end of the day. Our safety standards and quality of delivery is assured with every order that runs through to you”.
Additionally, the statement also indicated that “(online shopping) still needs a bit of getting used to in the Sri Lankan mum and dad sphere. So if you want to get hold of a real person to talk and get your problems sorted out, they have the inbuilt chat where there’s always an agent waiting for your inquiries within working hours. Up-to-date and experienced staff who will actually speak out their real views about your selected products and will answer any of your concerns is a great asset when doing online purchasing”.
