Nabbed with jumbo tusks, firearm

A man was taken into custody along with a shot gun and a pair of elephant tusks at Mahaoya last night, police said.
They said the suspect was picked up on a tip-off and the tusks were found buried at a location inside the forest in Mahaoya.
According to police the suspect is alleged to be involved in poaching for several years.
Police are hunting for two more persons who are believed to have assisted the man in his activities.
The Mahoya Police are conducting further investigations. (LB)
