Namunukula Plantations does it again
View(s):Southern Cup III Planters’ Cricket Tournament, organised by L.R. Perera, Regional Director, Plantation Human Development Trust, Galle was conducted on October 5 at the BOI grounds in Koggala. Planters from seven regional plantation companies comprising 56 estates from the south took part in this event. The Chief Guest of this event was Manik Weerasinghe, Chief Executive Officer, Maturata Plantations and the Guest of Honour was Bhathiya Bulumulla, Chief Executive Officer, Elpitiya Plantations. Namunukula Plantations led by Prins Gunasekera won the tournament for the third consecutive year beating Talawakelle Plantations by 50 runs. Wageesh Kularatne was adjudged the Man-of-the-tournament.
