The Gateway College junior karate and soccer teams will tour India to participate in the 2013 Expo World Open Peace International Sports Festival organised by the City RDSO Campus which will be held from October 26 to 29 in Lucknow.
The Gateway College junior karate team comprising of 11 members, the seven-a-side soccer team comprising of ten players and five officials left for India on October 23. This will be the third successive year that Gateway College will be competing at this event which is conducted by the World’s largest International School.

The Gateway College karate team: Yasinda Samaranayake (Captain),Yuginda Ranawakaarachchi, Hamaad Hassan, Themiya Gurusinghe, Nisitha Wijesekara, Davin Karunanayake, Chanuth Edirimanne, Chandur Dissanayake, Sayumi Edirimanne, Gavin Karunanayake, Nisura Wijeweera.

The Gateway College seven a side soccer team: Muhammed Meera (Captain), Rizqi Fauzan, Kisara Hewawaduge, Kisaja Hewawaduge, Abdullah Sameer, Muhammed Naushad, Ismail Suhail, Ramath Rajaaruna,Lasath Gamage, Praneth Manohar.
Officials: Sajith Liyanage (Chef-de-Mission), James Heath (soccer coach), Anusha Samaranayake (Cordinator karate), Ruwan Satharasinghe (karate coach), Ms. Neelamani Dissanayake (teacher-in- charge karate)
