The tournament which began on 10 September is scheduled to go on till 9 October, but, the Lankan team management have given the Lankan cricketers the cut off date of October 5 as they will have to be a part of the series of domestic matches that has been organised by the SLC to fill the void created by the Zimbabwe tour cancellation.

The matches have been conferred with List A status by the BCB after nearly 39 years of the league being the country’s most important professional domestic competition. Previously, it was the National Cricket League’s one-day competition that was List A cricket in Bangladesh, but that stopped inadvertently in November 2010.

The twenty three cricketers who have made their way to Bangladesh are – Dilshan Munaweera, Milinda Siriwardena, Jehan Mubarak, Upul Tharanga, Thilina Kandamby, T.M. Dilshan, Chamara Kapugedera, Bhanuka Rajapakse, Angelo Mathews, Sachitra Senanayake, Jeewan Mendis, Tharanga Paranavithana, Chanaka Gunaratne, Janaka Gunaratne, T.M. Sampath, Gihan Rupasinghe, Lahiru Thirimanne, Sameera Soysa, Roshen Silva, Sohan Boralessa, Indika de Saram, Kaushalya Weeraratne and Kosala Kulasekera.
