Old Bens Basketball Club posted a cliffhanger 73 to 72 point win over Wattala BC in an ‘A’ division cager fixture conducted by the Colombo District Basketball Association at Nugegoda recently. At half time Old Bens BC held a slender 31 to 29 point lead.
Clinton Stallone led the way for the Old Bens with a top score of 27 points, while Thushan Eranda 20 and Lasantha Gunwawardene 12 were also on target.
For Wattala BC Naveed Halaldeen was on target with 28 points, while the other shooters were Prageeth Pushpakumara with 16 and Jeevan Priyankara 15. – BM
