Vidyartha enjoyed one of their better Big Matches against a moderate Sylvestrian side that did not show much stomach for the fight in their drawn 55th Big Match at the Asgiriya Stadium.
Having extended their overnight total of 145 for 5 to 180 all out, they did well to reduce their opponents to 79 for 6 when the rains came down. Sumedha Dissanaike shone for St. Sylvester’s with a four wicket bag and a neat innings of 21.
Elpitiya did well with bat and ball for Vidyartha.
