“MMI Preschoolers are highly sought after by formal schools in Singapore due to their high standards,” says Dr. T. Chandroo, Chairman of MMI Singapore at the MMI Annual Graduation Concert. Having been the Chief Guest of the concert, he thereafter expressed his excitement and appreciation towards the progress of the school.

He announced with great joy about the programme carried out by the staff and faculty of the school reaching the benchmarks set initially by MMI UK and Singapore.

He said that the programme run in Colombo was identical to those run in other countries.  Found in 1989 in Singapore, MMI has developed into a global based private education organization with over 100 offices, preschools and training offices in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka, the U.A.E, Egypt, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand and Nigeria with the Principal office based in the UK.  India and Malaysia alone have over 20 centers each and we are hoping Sri Lanka too would branch our similarly.

MMI Sri Lanka is a member of the ANC Education Group which at the moment comprises of two major educational institutions such as ANC Education and Wycherley International School.

ANC Education has for over a decade been a champion in the private education sphere, and is a leading  tertiary education provider in Sri Lanka , offering accredited courses and facilitating an easy transfer to American, British, Australian, Malaysian and Canadian Universities.

On the other hand, Wycherley International School is the only school in Sri Lanka to offer the Cambridge curricular from grade 1 onwards.  All MMI students get admission to Wycherley at a very attractive discounted price, easing parent?s minds about formal school admissions process.

Modern Montessori Pre-school was awarded with the most preferred brand award by SuperBrands for the pre-school sector for 2011.
The Award was based on an independent survey by AC Nielson.

This award is the best testimonial of the brand equity of MMI and the quality of our pre-school education services.
“Our proven methodologies ensure that only the best learning environment is given to our children. From our exemplary management of pre-school services for children; through ensuring the design and delivery of our teacher-training programs to the highest quality; conducting relevant and enriching continual training and education courses; providing state-of-the-art products and resources for a child’s learning” say Dr Chandroo.

Speaking to some MMI parents at the graduation concert, Dr Chandroo said that the Montessori environment is child-centered and that MMI believes that each child should be allowed to enjoy the freedom to investigate the world which he or she lives in, thus making learning an active process.

MMI incorporates many Montessori components into its comprehensive programmes. These include practical life exercises, sensorial training, Montessori language and Mathematics, cultural subjects as well as creative art. Through this broad coverage, a child is imbued with knowledge of form, colour, mathematical concepts and cultural values. Fine motor skills and creative expressions are also developed.

When asked about his greatest personal satisfaction, Dr Chandroo replied, “It’s to see our children smile each and every time they discover the joys of learning about their world every day”.
