Appointed Anunayake of the Malwatta Chapter

Malwatta Maha Vihare Deputy Secretary Ven. Dimbulkumbure Sri Saranankara Wimaladhamma Thera was elected uncontested as the Anunayake of the Malwatta Chapter.

Ven. Dimbulkumbure Sri Saranankara Wimaladhamma Thera

The election was presided over by the Ven. Tibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera, the Mahanayake of the Malwatta Chapter.

Ven. Wimaladhamma Thera was born on April 16, 1941 in Kohake Korale in the Nuwara Eliya District and had his early education at Dimbulkumbure Kanishta Vidyalaya. From here the Thera entered the University of Colombo and earned a Degree. Thereafter he entered Sangharaja Pirivena in Kandy.

The Thera now is the head of four Viharas in the Yatinuwara electorate. The Thera was bestowed with the Upasampada on December 30, 1965.

The Thera was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Malwatta Chapter in 2004.
