The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka will host the 17th Annual NCE Export Awards on September 25 in Colombo. The event will reward not only recognized exporters but also those who support exporters as well, the chamber said in a statement.
Applications were posted to all members of the Chamber in March this year. Details were also sent out to non members to enable them to apply. The product sectors and categories for which awards are to be given range from various industries such as agriculture, tea, minerals, jewellery and precious stones. In addition the services of BPOs will also be considered.
In the interest of its members as well as non members, the Chamber recently conducted an awareness seminar on the awards was held this month at the Sri Lanka Tea Board Auditorium. The NCE says it is the only chamber which has conducted such an awards ceremony for 17 years continuously and till last year it gave away nearly a 1000 awards.
