Jaffna University warns against unauthorised logo use
View(s):The University of Jaffna has cautioned persons about the unauthorised use of the university emblem.
The warning came ahead of the 40th General Convocation of the University of Jaffna which is scheduled to be held from February 19 to 22.
The University Administration’s attention has been drawn by certain individuals and institutions who are producing, marketing, and selling items bearing the University of Jaffna emblem, including garlands, degree certificate scroll holders, caps, and other gift items intended for graduands, without obtaining prior authorisation from the university.
“With the approval of the Senate and the Council of the University, and in accordance with established procedures, written authorisation must be obtained from the Registrar for the use of the University emblem. Any individual or institution found using the University emblem without such authorization will be subject to appropriate legal action,” the university said.
Students currently studying at the university and graduate students have been requested to refrain from supporting or encouraging such unauthorised and unlawful activities.
