Sole survivor: The pet dog who helped find his family buried in a landslide

The location where a family of seven lay buried in a landslide at Ambokka, Pallepola, in Matale, was identified by their pet dog who had survived, residents said.
The dog kept on frantically scratching the muddy soil which covered its former house. When the surviving villagers dug the spot where the dog was scratching, all seven bodies of the same family were found.
The residents said that the dog was the sole survivor out of the occupants of the house.
