Unacceptable selection of gymnast for World Championship

View(s): I am writing to add my support to the protests concerning the deselecting of the top-ranking candidate, Jaydon Attygalle, at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Jakarta. It is in the interest of the country to select the best candidate in terms of ranking, performance and exposure.
This disregard for merit in favour of a sub-standard candidate is unacceptable. It is especially disappointing that this occurred under a government that promised to bring change in terms of transparency and fairness.
