Colombo Kickerz U19s emerge runners-up at Madras Super Cup 2025
View(s):Colombo Kickerz emerged runners-up after a thrilling final against home team XIFT FA at the Madras Super Cup 2025 futsal tournament held in Chennai, India from October 24 to 27. The team from Sri Lanka, Colombo Kickerz went down fighting against XIFT FA as the final of the Madras Super Cup 2025 was determined by penalties after the game ended in at 3-all draw.
Eventually, Colombo Kickerz had to be contended as runners-up after XIFT FA won the final by 2-1 on penalties. Participating as the only international team in the Under-19 Futsal competition at the Madras Super Cup in India, Colombo Kickerz started off with two brilliant wins.

They defeated FC Madras Emerging team by 4-2 and went on to record a 5-3 win against Sethu FC -3 to round off a perfect opening day. On the second day, Colombo Kickerz took on XIFT FA in their third group game, unfortunately losing out by the slender of margins, 3-4. This set up a final against XIFT FA, in what turned out into a thrilling encounter.
The Indian outfit raised to a 3-0 advantage at the end of the first half as they stunned the Kickerz U19s. The lads from Sri Lanka bounced back in sublime fashion, scoring three unanswered goals, as the match drew to an end after full time with scores level at 3-all.

This meant the game went into a penalty shootout. Two XIFT FA players held their nerve to convert from the spot but only one Kickerz player was able to successfully score off the spot as XIFT FA ended the game as winners from the shootout.
Colombo Kickerz No.10 Isaac Okoro was named the Player of the Tournament while Shaheer Riyad was named the Best Coach in the segment, as the lads from Colombo rounded off a successful tour to the Madras Super Cup 2025.
